You are still drinking alcohol regularly
Alcohol inhibits your body's ability to burn fat... HUH? I'm sorry, its true. Don't worry, I am not going to tell you that you can't have a mimosa with breakfast! However, try cutting back your weekly alcohol consumption to a glass of wine (or whatever you drink) a week. You'll be amazed by the changes you see! P.S This is also one of the best ways to lose belly fat.
You don't meal prep
Meal prep is everything. Without it, you are not setting yourself up to succeed. When you get home from work you're super hungry. You open the cupboard, its bare and since you are exhausted from a long day you jump on UberEats. Sound familiar? I don't blame you! I was like that too. The key is to prep your meals, or write out what you plan to cook for each meal and grocery shop to that list. A little planning goes a long way.
You are eating "diet" food
99% of products that have "diet" on the label or even "low fat" are pumped with sugar/ chemicals to make them taste good. Generally speaking, avoid diet foods and stick with whole, natural foods that will fuel your body. Shop the perimeter of the grocery store.
You haven't written down a goal
Ever said to yourself, "my diet starts tomorrow" everyday for like two weeks? Trust, I am so guilty of this... ask my sister! Take a moment to write down a goal and be as specific as possible. This will give you the motivation you need to stick to a plan. To go one step further, write a goal down in the positive. ex. I want to eat more veggies, as opposed to I won't eat junk food.
Your diet isn't a high enough priority
I completely understand that life gets in the way, but when you are looking to reach a specific goal your diet needs to shoot to the top of your priority list. It has to be one of those things that you give a lot of time, thought and consideration to. The amount of effort and time you put into your diet will directly affect your results. Don't half ass it, unless you are okay with just half the ass. #bootygoals
FIT LIFESTYLE TIP: A "diet" should be a lifestyle adjustment as opposed to a 4 week - lose 10 lbs shenanigan. Choose a plan that suits your lifestyle and allows for a balance of 80/20. Want some help? Holla at your gal <3
